Course Title
BOHS P406 Supervision and Management of the safe removal and disposal of asbestos.
 

This module provides the trainee with the practical knowledge and skills to be able to act as supervisory licence holder.   This course includes a 1 hour 15 minute examination and a full practical assessment.   Candidates must pass the written examination AND the practical assessment to be awarded the BOHS Proficiency Certificate in this module.

Content of the BOHS syllabus: 

Asbestos types and health effects - 10%; 

Legislation  - 10%:

Removal of asbestos - 30%; 

RPE, PPE and Decontamination procedures - 10%;

Accident and Emergency procedures - 10%;

Practical -  30%.

This training course can also be provided for groups of personnel,  at clients’ own premises, anywhere in the world.  Proficiency certificates are issued by the BOHS to those candidates who successfully pass the written examination and the practical assessment.
