asbestos awareness training
Supported by the HSE, our Asbestos Awareness Training increases awareness of asbestos within the working environment. It is particularly relevant for worked whose daily activities can bring them into contact with asbestos containing materials, and a potential fibres release.
Courses can be tailored to encompass your own asbestos policy and documentation, and the special characteristics of your business. Courses are suitable for a wide range of work situations, and some of the more common ones include:
- Flooring contractors
- Window fitters
- Housing associations and property care personnel
- Local authorities - educational and council
- Local authority fire service operational personnel
- Managers and auditing personnel
- Maintenance workers and building contractors
- Work with asbestos cement (AC)
- Work with asbestos insulating board (AIB)
The core content of the course will cover types and uses of asbestos, health effects and hazards, working safely with asbestos containing materials, the use of asbestos within buildings and installations, and the documentation and legislation.
Training can be provided anywhere, subject to numbers, and an optional multi-choice assessment and certification stage can be incorporates in the training.
